The Dr. Rute Matos Veterinary Centre was inaugurated in 1989 and, ever since, has constantly evolved to always offer the best veterinary medicine services to its customers. Indeed, our passion for animals and the enormous satisfaction we gain from their recovered health has remained unchanged ever since opening our doors.

In order to offer the best services and the best care, we remain attentive and informed about new treatments, which is why we already have acupuncture and homeopathy for dogs at your disposal and we also treat all types of exotic animals.

The Veterinary Centre was designed to provide the best health care for your furry or hairless, four-legged or two-legged animal companions - we treat every kind of animal.
Waiting Rooms
We actually provide two waiting rooms. The overall space is large and comfortable and divided into two with one area for dogs and the other for cats. In the cat friendly space, we run a pheromone diffuser that makes the environment calmer and more relaxing for felines.
In the warmer months, we maintain a pleasant and relaxing outdoor space where you can wait for your appointment quietly and in contact with nature.
Consultation Room
Our consultation room is equipped with everything necessary to provide your pet with the very best veterinary care. It is an ample space, designed so that there are no difficult to access corners in which more nervous animals might try to hide.
Analysis Laboratory
Our analysis laboratory is an area of exclusive access to the team and where we carry out various types of analysis: serum biochemicals, blood counts, hormone dosages. Having our own laboratory allows us to return a diagnosis more quickly and efficiently.
Surgery Room
Our team performs various surgeries and our room is duly equipped for such purposes. This is also a restricted access area in keeping with the need to maintain the facilities clean and antiseptic.
Bathing and Grooming Area
An area for the exclusive use of hygiene and beauty care for our friends, where we perform the baths and cut hair with all the patience that such moments demand.
